Bihun Sup Utara

Hi everybody! Im back .... After long leave of school holiday... Yesterday i have prepared a very nice food for early dinner... This food is very famous in Malaysia... There are so many types of 'bihun sup' but mine is from northern part of Malaysia...tats why they put the name utara it mean north :)) it made from rice vermicelli ..southern bihun(vermicelli) soup is different... the vermicelli is white colour and the soup taste different a bit and their chili paste is preparerd differently... supposed my chili paste for this vermicelli soup is red colour but because of not enough ingredient... i change the chili paste to southern style... black, sweet and spicy

My secret recipe of the day:
Soup
500g of beef ( cut it into few big cubes)
2 litre of water
2 cinnamon stick
1 pax (25g) of powder soup
3 anise
3 cloves
5 cardamom
2 big slice of tap ginger
Salt to taste
A pinch of Ajinomoto
Chopped parsley

Boiled all the ingredients in a pot about 20 - 30 minutes except salt and ajinomoto...add later after the beef is almost cook..add another 1 glass of water and sprinkle the chopped parsley

Remove the beef from the soup ...put aside to cool it down and cut into slices.

In another pot ,boiled 300g of cow stomach ... ( wash first ) About 20 minutes until it cook.
Remove the cow stomach from the soup to cool it down and cut into slices.

Bihun ( rice vermicelli )

Boiled 3/4 pack of rice vermicelli
Add 2 table spoon of tumeric powder (to colour the vermicelli into yellow)
Stirr well ... Boil until the vermicelli become soft....and drained the water from the vermicelli.

Chili paste
20 chili padi
2 cloves of garlic
2 table spoon of fried onions
2 table spoon of sugar
1/3 cup of sweet soy sauce
1/3 cup of water
( blend all the ingredients )

How to served?

Put vermicelli in a bowl
Put in slices beef and cow stomach as much as you like
Sprinkle some spring onions and fried onions
Chili paste...(a little bit ...depends on how hot you can take it)
Put in the soups (served it hot)

Done!
