Chicken Rendang Curry

After get back from work yesterday..i dont know what to cook for dinner...then suddenly this recepi pop out in my mind...Im fasting yesterday...1hour left to prepare everything...cayok! cayok! But at last managed to cook rice, fried vegetables, fried eggs and this special Chicken Rendang Curry.. There are so many types of rendang with different secret ingredients in asia....but this is one of my style...hihihi

Ingredients A to blend
1 large onion
4 cloves of garlic
1 stalk lemongrass
2 slices of galangal
2 inch turmeric


Ingredients B to blend

20 dried chillies poach

Ingredients C

1kg chicken cut into small pieces
1 cinnamon stick
2 pieces of star anise
2 stalks lemongrass
2 kaffir lime leaves
2 dried tamarind
1 tablespoon coconut paste (kerisik)

3 strand leaves turmeric (sliced ​​delicate)
2 tablespoons sugar
salt to taste
cooking oil

How to cook

1. Heat wok with cooking oil
2. Saute the ingredients A together with cinnamon and star anise until fragrant
3. Add chilli paste
4. Salt and sugar to taste
5. Then add the chicken, kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass and tamarind
6. Stir well and cook until half cooked chicken
7. Add coconut milk and coconut paste. Stir occasionally and cook until the chicken is properly cooked and coconut milk to dry.
To whom prefer of many shady sauce, cook the coconut milk not too dry.
8. Lastly sprinkle turmeric leaves and mix well.

Served it hot and best eaten with rice
